This dress I named Sybil, for Sybil Ludington. On an April night in 1777, the sixteen-year-old rode through the dark and rain of Putnam County, New York, to call out her father's militia after the British burned Danbury, Connecticut. A girl with that kind of courage deserved a dress of her own.
A warm fall plaid in tan, red and black, hand-block printed so every line carries the gentle character of the maker's hand. The straps lead to a low back, a new silhouette for Clarity this season. The tiered skirt falls full and swings when you walk. Two deep pockets. Part of our fall collection, a dress for apple picking, bonfires and every cozy gathering in between.
Available in matching Mommy & Me sizes for little girls ages 2–8. Each complete with pockets.
Fabric: Every Sybil is hand-block printed in Jaipur using a craft 500 years older than fast fashion — wooden blocks carved by hand, dipped in natural dye, and pressed into the fabric one stamp at a time. Designed on our homestead in rural Ohio, made in Jaipur by families who have practiced this tradition for generations. Because each dress is made entirely by hand, no two are identical — slight variations in color and pattern are not flaws, they are fingerprints. The mark of something real. No chlorinated bleaches, azo dyes, chemical washes, sprays, or preservatives are used to make or applied to our Clarity dresses. We are toxin free by design.
Care: Wash inside out with other 100% cotton fabrics on a delicate cold cycle. Hang dry. Never bleach.

Returns are accepted for 14 days. Returns must have their original tags. Buyer pays a flat rate of $15 for return shipping. Refunds will be given in the form of Clarity store credit. Refunds will not be made to the original form of payment. We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee if the customer is sending back items without their original tags or if the items have been used.

Size Guide
All measurements are in inches. Relaxed fit. Runs true to size. The chart covers women's sizes XXS through 3XL. It does not include girls' sizes.
XS–XL are stocked in limited runs, in store and online. 2XL is stocked on some styles. XXS, 3XL, and any size that has sold out, are made to order on current-season designs only and ship in 6–8 weeks.
