Plain Jane is a nod to Jane Austen, whose heroines prized good sense and quiet character over show.
Plain Jane gauzy white fabric. Jane is a clean, structured cotton dress built on a fitted bodice and a full gathered skirt. The square neckline is framed by two wide-set straps that sit securely on the shoulder, and the bodice is shaped close through the torso, following the body down to a defined seam at the waist. From there the skirt is gathered in all the way around for soft, even fullness, falling with plenty of swing and movement to the knee. It's cut from crisp, breathable 100% cotton with enough body to hold its shape, and fully lined for modesty and easy wear. It is both tailored and simple as well as soft and romantic — a true wardrobe staple in a clean natural white, easy to dress up or down and layer across seasons.
Available in matching Mommy & Me sizes for little girls ages 2–8. Each complete with pockets.
Fabric: Every Plain Jane is made with the same natural dyes as our hand-block printed pieces — no block printing, just a clean, solid white. Designed on our homestead in rural Ohio. No chlorinated bleaches, azo dyes, chemical washes, sprays, or preservatives are used to make or applied to our Clarity dresses. We are toxin free by design.
Care: Wash inside out with other 100% cotton fabrics on a delicate cold cycle. Hang dry. Never bleach.

Returns are accepted for 14 days. Returns must have their original tags. Buyer pays a flat rate of $15 for return shipping. Refunds will be given in the form of Clarity store credit. Refunds will not be made to the original form of payment. We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee if the customer is sending back items without their original tags or if the items have been used.

Size Guide
All measurements are in inches. Relaxed fit. Runs true to size. The chart covers women's sizes XXS through 3XL. It does not include girls' sizes.
XS–XL are stocked in limited runs, in store and online. 2XL is stocked on some styles. XXS, 3XL, and any size that has sold out, are made to order on current-season designs only and ship in 6–8 weeks.
