I became a mother in 2023, and like most new moms, I fell down the rabbit hole. Suddenly I was reading everything — ingredients, labels, materials — trying to understand what was actually safe for my baby and for me. What I found about synthetic fabrics stopped me cold. The microplastics. The azo dyes. The chemical finishes pressed into fabric that spends all day against your skin and your baby's skin. Nobody was talking about it loudly enough, and I couldn't unlearn what I'd read.

At the same time, I just wanted a pretty dress. Something comfortable and feminine that would help me feel like myself again after pregnancy and early motherhood. I searched for organic cotton dresses that were truly natural, well-made, and that felt unapologetically feminine. I couldn't find what I was looking for — so I made it.

That is Clarity.

Every dress is made from 100% cotton, colored with natural dyes only, hand-block printed in Jaipur by families who have practiced this craft for generations. No azo dyes. No chlorinated bleaches. No preservatives. No synthetic blends. Nothing I wouldn't put next to my own skin or my daughter's.

The name Clarity means exactly what it says. No hidden ingredients. No greenwashing. Just cotton, natural dye, and the oldest block printing tradition in the world — designed on our homestead in rural Ohio and made by real hands in Jaipur, India.

Motherhood asks so much of us. It changes our bodies, our priorities, and the way we see the world. I believe that deserves to be honored — with clothing that feels as good as it looks, in fabrics you can actually trust, on ordinary days that are worth dressing up for.
